The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Table

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of heroes, and a gripping narrative showcasing divine entities, fiends, and dark forces growing in power within the city.

Note: Key plot points for the third episode of the new season are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

Episode 3 ended with a dramatic pause and presented the first table of heroes who will branch out from the main group to embark on their separate journey, distinct from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team consists of Teor Pridesire (played by Travis), Thimble (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

With 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

Hence, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, weaving together the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Planners, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

According to the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for participants who enjoy a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where non-violent answers are few and far between.

At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might look mismatched, but the actions of the latest installment show why these particular heroes are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

First, the party understands precisely where to proceed after a violent opening clash with the antagonists.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose death started the narrative’s action—exploited the enemy for his selfish purposes, breaking into the secret base, attacking the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.

Casimir then paid off his liabilities and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, north of the urban center, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each character has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, desires vengeance.
  • Kattigan has experience in Timmony and warns that it is a hostile place.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having defied his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their position as key figures in the powerful family could assist the party reach areas they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter swore a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now go with him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are hunted by the authorities that control the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and Wicander betrayed the influential house and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by the clan.

This results in them few options but to journey toward the remote area in quest for Casimir.

Upcoming Developments

From the latest episode’s follow-up content, we discover that the warrior group won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight participants to form the Explorers and Planners tables.

Viewers can look forward to finding out which players will be in which group in the season’s last Overture episode, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
